Commerce Appeals Shrimp Duty Ruling To Fed. Circ.

Law360, New York (August 25, 2009, 6:15 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce has appealed a ruling by the U.S. Court of International Trade that effectively would revoke anti-dumping duties on exports of shrimp from Thailand by Thai I-Mei Frozen Foods Co. Ltd.

The Commerce Department appealed the June ruling to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit Aug. 24. The CIT's ruling affirmed a determination that the dumping margin for Thai I-Mei's shrimp exports was de minimis.
