Madoff Feeder Wants Court To Toss Trustee's Suit

Law360, New York (August 26, 2009, 4:50 PM EDT) -- A Madoff-linked firm has fired back at the trustee in charge of liquidating the defunct broker-dealer Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC, saying his suit to recover allegedly misbegotten Ponzi scheme proceeds is an empty bid to grab headlines.

Cohmad Securities Corp. asked the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York on Monday to dismiss several claims in a adversary proceeding filed by court-appointed BLMIS liquidation trustee Irving Picard.
