Fed Asks To Hold Off On Producing Bailout Records

Law360, New York (August 27, 2009, 5:56 PM EDT) -- Claiming disclosure would cause “substantial competitive injury” to financial institutions that received emergency loans, the Federal Reserve has asked a judge to delay enforcement of a ruling requiring production of records about its bailout program.

Yvonne F. Mizusawa, senior counsel for the Fed, filed a motion Wednesday with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York seeking to have Judge Loretta A. Preska's order stayed pending an appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
