Allied Holdings Seeks Extension On Ch. 11 Plan

Law360, New York (October 16, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Allied Holdings Inc. has asked for an additional 10 weeks to retain exclusive control over its bankruptcy case as it works to hammer out a new labor contract with its employees.

The Decatur, Ga.-based auto hauler made a bid for the extension Friday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia. The company was looking for a deadline of Jan. 17, 2007 to submit its reorganization plan, and a deadline of March 21, 2007 to lobby for support of its plan from creditors....
