Mexico To Open $600M Pipeline Plan To Private Cos.

Law360, New York (August 28, 2009, 4:32 PM EDT) -- Mexico's state-owned oil company has announced plans to take bids from international private companies to build a $600 million natural gas pipeline to increase transmission capacities in the central and western parts of the country.

Petroleos Mexicanos said Thursday that it planned to spend $600 million to build 230 kilometers of new pipeline to connect to the Orange-Tamazunchale pipeline in San Luis de la Paz, Guanajuato, and another 56-kilometer extension to San Jose Iturbide.
