Huntsman Offers $415M For Tronox Assets

Law360, New York (August 31, 2009, 3:56 PM EDT) -- Chemical manufacturer Huntsman Corp. announced Monday a $415 million bid to purchase some of bankrupt Tronox Inc.'s assets in an effort to boost its own pigments business.

In a statement, Huntsman said it had signed a stalking horse asset and equity purchase agreement, setting the stage for a bankruptcy court auction for some of Tronox's titanium dioxide-related assets.
