Perkins Coie Snags Former USPTO Patent Judge

Law360, New York (September 8, 2009, 12:28 PM EDT) -- Perkins Coie LLP has pulled in a former administrative patent judge at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and a patent attorney to boost its intellectual property team.

Both hailing from Proskauer Rose LLP, Joan Ellis has joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. office as of counsel and Todd Samelman has come on board as an associate. Their arrival to Perkins Coie reunites them with a group of former Proskauer Rose attorneys who joined the firm earlier this summer.
