Consumer Tech Group Decries Trade War's Impacts On 5G

Law360 (September 12, 2019, 8:52 PM EDT) -- A group representing the consumer high-tech industry is urging Congress to pull the rug out from under President Donald Trump's trade feud with China, lamenting the dispute's impact on the 5G network rollout.

The Consumer Technology Association on Wednesday backed a bill introduced in June by Rep. Stephanie Murphy, D-Fla., that would undercut the White House's ability to unilaterally impose new trade restrictions, in hopes of stymying the tit-for-tat tariff exchanges that have marked the trade war.
