Huron, Tax Group Trustee Settle Fee Dispute

Law360, New York (September 1, 2009, 3:33 PM EDT) -- Huron Consulting Services LLC has agreed to delay collecting almost $3.7 million in consulting fees it racked up as chief restructuring officer and financial adviser to 1031 Tax Group LLC, ending a dispute with the Chapter 11 trustee overseeing the case.

Trustee Gerard A. McHale Jr. filed a motion Aug. 31 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York seeking court approval for a settlement with Huron that would bump the firm's fee requests in exchange for legal protection from creditors....
