Research In Motion, Good Technology Settle Patent Litigation

Law360, New York (March 29, 2004, 12:00 AM EST) -- Research in Motion Ltd. and Good Technology Inc. have settled their patent litigation over wireless e-mail systems.

As part of the settlement, Good Technology has agreed to pay RIM an undisclosed amount of quarterly royalties, the two companies said. RIM also will receive a lump-sum payment during the first quarter of fiscal year 2005.

Neither the amount of money nor other terms of the agreement were disclosed.
