Colo. Wants Army To Follow Plan For Chemical Site

Law360, New York (September 2, 2009, 1:26 PM EDT) -- After three unsuccessful years of haggling over terms, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has asked for an injunction to force the U.S. government to comply with the state's safety monitoring plan at a mustard agent chemical weapons stockpile.

The department filed its request Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, saying the U.S. Army Chemical Materials Agency was putting the public at risk to exposure of mustard agent by not complying with the plan for the Pueblo Chemical Depot....
