GE Sues Over Hospital Information-System Patents

Law360, New York (October 18, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Industrial conglomerate General Electric Co. has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against a small medical imaging company for allegedly infringing its patents for hospital information-management systems.

The lawsuit against San Diego-based DR Systems Inc., a tiny competitor by GE standards, was filed Oct. 16 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. It was assigned to Judge Leonard D. Wexler.

The allegedly infringing systems include DT’s Catapult Technologies QC Workstation, Web Dominator, The Instant Reporter and Web Ambassador, among others.
