SEC Wins Asset Freeze In Queen Shoals Ponzi Case

Law360, New York (September 4, 2009, 5:14 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has won an order freezing the assets of Queen Shoals LLC, an alleged Ponzi scheme run by a couple who purportedly defrauded investors out of more than $22.5 million.

Judge Robert Conrad Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina issued an order Thursday that freezes the assets of the company and its owners, Sidney and Charlotte Hanson.
