Allstate Off The Hook In Motorist Overcharge Spat

Law360, New York (September 8, 2009, 6:36 PM EDT) -- The Colorado Court of Appeals has shot down a class’ appeal of a decision finding that Allstate Insurance Co. did not overcharge policyholders for multivehicle uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage.

The appeals court on Thursday rejected plaintiff Stacy Mullen’s appeal of a Boulder County District Court ruling holding that Allstate’s two-tier premium structure for UM/UIM coverage was not deceptive.

The case centers on uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage, which protects a motorist in the event of an accident with an uninsured or underinsured driver.
