Power Co. Sued For "Shocking" Violations Of ADA

Law360, New York (October 19, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Power provider Edison International Inc. has been hit with a proposed class action lawsuit accusing the company of “shocking” and “egregious” violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The lawsuit, filed Tuesday in federal court in Northern Illinois, names Midwest Generation LLC and parent company Edison International as defendants.

The named plaintiff in the suit, Illinois resident David L. Nolan, worked for Edison International for 25 years. The company discharged him after he took time off to deal with his disability, the complaint claims.
