Lockheed Accused Of Misclassifying IT Analysts

Law360, New York (September 10, 2009, 6:31 PM EDT) -- Lockheed Martin Corp. is facing a proposed class action claiming that the defense contractor unfairly classified network data communications analysts in California as exempt, shorting them on overtime compensation.

Plaintiff Jenifer Williams said in an amended complaint filed Sept. 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California that she and other similarly situated employees were deceptively classified as exempt based on job title alone, in violation of labor laws.
