Swiss Franc ‘Flash Crash’ Set For Spring 2020 London Trial

Law360, London (November 6, 2019, 11:26 AM GMT) -- A British foreign exchange investor, which is bringing a suit claiming it lost $591,000 after a brokerage failed to stop trading during the "flash crash" of the Swiss franc four years ago, is looking at an April 2020 trial date.

A trial over losses suffered after a precipitous fall in the Swiss franc could begin as soon as April. (AP) Judge Mark Pelling said the case will be tried as early as April 20 next year as he made an order at the High Court on Monday. The hearing will last an estimated three days.
