Jury Indicts 3 More In NJ Superfund Kickback Scheme

By Melissa Lipman (September 11, 2009, 6:46 PM EDT) -- A New Jersey grand jury has indicted three men accused of taking part in fraud, bid-rigging and kickback conspiracies for contracts to work on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's cleanup operations at two Superfund sites in northern New Jersey.

Judge Joseph A. Greenaway Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey on Friday unsealed the 12-count indictment, which was initially filed under seal Aug. 31, after two of the defendants were arrested Sept. 8 and 10.

The indictment includes Gordon D. McDonald, a former project manager for the prime contractor for the two sites, along with sub-contractors...
