Washington Federal To Offer $300M In Stock

Law360, New York (September 14, 2009, 4:01 PM EDT) -- Washington Federal Savings parent company Washington Federal Inc. announced Monday that it had commenced an underwritten public offering of $300 million in common stock.

Net proceeds from the offering will qualify as tangible common equity and as regulatory Tier 1 capital, and will be used for general corporate purchases, which could include capital to support growth and acquisition opportunities, according to a company statement.
