CenturyLink Begins Tender Offers For $800M In Notes

Law360, New York (September 14, 2009, 6:08 PM EDT) -- Newly formed broadband provider CenturyLink will buy back up to $800 million in notes issued by its premerger entities, the company said Monday.

Monroe, La.-based CenturyLink, formed when CenturyTel Inc. purchased rival Embarq Corp., has commenced joint debt tender offers on four series of notes, the company said.

The company also expects sell fixed-rate securities with an aggregate principal amount of $600 million to pay for part of the debt tender offers, it announced.
