Oracle Tries To Pin Down Canadian Co. In D.C. Court

Law360, New York (October 23, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Oracle Corp. has filed a lawsuit in federal court in Washington D.C. asking for declaratory judgment, after an identical suit it brought against the same Canadian software company in California turned into a battle over jurisdiction.

The declaratory judgment suit Oracle filed in California against the same defendants and over the same patent followed failed licensing negotiations between Oracle and defendant Teilhard Technologies Inc.

The defendants are Teilhard Technologies and subsidiaries Shopplex.com Corp., Juxtacomm Technologies Inc. and Secure Group Inc.
