Duro Ex-Exec Tapped As Textiles Asst. Trade Rep

Law360, New York (September 14, 2009, 6:00 PM EDT) -- A former executive at global textiles company Duro Textile LLC has been selected as the new assistant U.S. trade representative for textiles, a role that involves working to expand the industry’s access to foreign markets.

Gail Strickler, who was previously vice president of the global apparel division at Duro, will be responsible for supervising negotiations affecting textile and apparel products, U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk said Monday.

Strickler’s duties will also include advising Kirk on textile and apparel trade policy matters, he said.
