Obama Taps LGBT Expert For EEOC Commissioner

Law360, New York (September 15, 2009, 2:41 PM EDT) -- President Barack Obama has chosen law professor Chai R. Feldblum, who specializes in disability discrimination and gay and lesbian rights, to serve as one of the five commissioners for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Feldblum, who has taught at the Georgetown University Law Center since 1991, set up and currently runs the school's Federal Legislation and Administrative Clinic in order to teach students how to become legislative attorneys, the administration said in Monday's announcement.
