8th Circ. Says EEOC Must Fork Over $3.3M To Trucking Co.
Law360 (December 10, 2019, 1:52 PM EST) -- The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission must pay CRST Van Expedited $3.3 million to cover legal fees the trucking company incurred fighting an unsuccessful sexual harassment suit, the Eighth Circuit ruled Tuesday, marking the latest setback for the agency in its yearslong quest to upend the fee award.
A three-judge panel upheld a decision by U.S. District Judge Linda R. Reade to issue the fee award in CRST Van Expedited Inc.'s favor after it beat the agency's suit alleging widespread sexual harassment at the trucking company.
