Dell Ramps Up IT Services With $4B Perot Acquisition

Law360, New York (September 21, 2009, 6:10 PM EDT) -- Dell Inc. has moved to expand its information technology services capabilities by agreeing to pay about $3.9 billion for Perot Systems Corp., a company founded by former presidential candidate Ross Perot.

The two companies announced the deal Monday, a day after it was approved by both boards of directors. Under the terms of the deal, Round Rock, Texas-based Dell will pay $30 in cash for each share of Perot Systems, or over $12 more than Perot Systems' closing price on Friday.
