Novatel Sets Stage For $125M Securities Offer

Law360, New York (September 21, 2009, 2:58 PM EDT) -- Novatel Wireless Inc. plans to sell $125 million in securities if a market opportunity comes along, the wireless technology provider announced Monday.

In a shelf registration statement filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the San Diego-based company said it would sell debt securities, common stock, preferred stock, subscription rights, warrants or purchase contracts in one or more offerings.

Although Novatel has no immediate plans to sell the securities, the company filed the shelf registration in order to facilitate a quicker sale down the line...
