Dutch Oil Co. Settles Ivory Coast Toxic Dumping Case

Law360, New York (September 21, 2009, 2:04 PM EDT) -- Less than two weeks before a trial in the U.K., Trafigura Beheer BV has settled a class action brought by Ivory Coast residents claiming that the Dutch oil trading company dumped toxic waste on the country's shores that caused injuries, miscarriages and even deaths.
