Asbestos Plaintiff Asks Court To Sanction Lucent

Law360, New York (September 22, 2009, 1:21 PM EDT) -- The plaintiff in a suit against Lucent Technologies over an asbestos-related death has accused Lucent and its counsel of deliberately obstructing the suit's progress.

Reggy Taylor, suing over the wrongful death of his mother by malignant mesothelioma, on Monday filed a motion for sanctions against Lucent in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Taylor accused Lucent and its attorneys at Ogletree Deakins of bad faith attempts to block progress in the case.
