ITC To Mull Duties On Chinese Imports Of SLP Pipe

Law360, New York (September 22, 2009, 12:33 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has agreed to consider possible countervailing and anti-dumping duties on certain seamless carbon and alloy steel standard, line and pressure pipe imported from China in response to a joint request from two domestic manufacturers.

Pittsburgh-based U.S. Steel Corp. and Houston-based V&M Star LP submitted the petition last week, and the commission published a notice in the Federal Register of its intent to look into the matter Tuesday.
