DOJ, FTC To Review Merger Guidelines

Law360, New York (September 22, 2009, 5:31 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission have announced plans to review the government's horizontal merger guidelines, in what could lead to the guidelines' first major revision in 17 years.

The DOJ and FTC will solicit public input on the guidelines, and hold a series of workshops in December and January in New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Washington, the agencies said in a statement Tuesday.
