Insurer, Architect Spar Over Hospital Suit Coverage

Law360, New York (September 23, 2009, 3:56 PM EDT) -- An architect has struck back at Liberty Insurance Underwriters Inc.'s bid to rescind an insurance policy and reclaim its costs of defending its insured against a hospital operator's professional negligence and breach of contract suit, seeking to keep Liberty on the hook for up to $5 million in coverage.

Luckett & Farley Architects, Engineers & Construction Managers Inc. filed its answer and counterclaims to Liberty's complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Sept. 22.
