European Merger Court Proposal Draws Fire, Praise

Law360, New York (October 25, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Demands for establish a special court that would handle disputed mergers in the European Union are growing louder, with the president of the European Court of First Instance now backing the idea.

"The system must be changed if we want to be able to meet the challenges," said Bo Vesterdorf, the top judge for Europe’s second-highest court, the International Herald Tribune reported.
