Stop Investigator Depositions In Citgo Spill: Feds

Law360, New York (September 24, 2009, 6:25 PM EDT) -- Attorneys for the United States are trying to keep Citgo Petroleum Corp. from deposing U.S. Coast Guard investigators in the government's lawsuit against the global gas giant over 2.2 million gallons of oil it allegedly spilled into Louisiana waterways in 2006.

The government filed a motion Sept. 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana seeking a protective order and looking to quash the deposition of two investigators and limit the scope of questioning for a third man.
