SEC Hires Policy Adviser For New Risk Division

Law360, New York (September 24, 2009, 7:44 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has announced the hiring of a hedge fund manager and nuclear physics researcher as a senior policy adviser in the agency’s newly established division devoted to financial product innovations and economic risk.

The agency announced Thursday that it had named Gregg Berman, previously of RiskMetrics Group, as a senior policy adviser for its new Division of Risk, Strategy and Financial Innovation.
