Alcatel-Lucent Patent Suit Targets Sears, Amazon

Law360, New York (September 25, 2009, 5:54 PM EDT) -- Alcatel-Lucent USA Inc. smacked several companies — including Sears Holding Corp., Inc., QVC Inc. and Netflix Inc. — with a lawsuit on Friday, asserting six patents related to e-commerce and search engine technology.

Alcatel-Lucent filed its complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. In addition to Sears, QVC, Netflix and Amazon, the defendants in the suit include Inc., Lands' End Inc., Inc. and Kmart Corp.
