Law360, New York (September 29, 2009, 4:21 PM EDT) -- Reddy Ice Corp. has asked a federal judge to toss antitrust counterclaims brought by rival Aqua Fill in Reddy's suit alleging infringement of a patent for a machine that produces, bags and displays packaged ice for sale, saying the protection of patent rights has nothing to do with Reddy's escalating antitrust troubles.
Reddy filed a motion to dismiss Aqua Fill's counterclaims in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona on Monday.
