Judge Rejects Cable Co.'s Bid For Injunction

Law360, New York (October 26, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Cable television provider Mediacom Communications Corp. has vowed to appeal, after a federal judge nixed its request for an injunction in an antitrust case in which Mediacom accused Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc. of forcing it into an illegal tying arrangement.

Mediacom filed a notice of appeal with the U.S. District Court for the District of Iowa Wednesday, one day after U.S. District Judge Robert W. Pratt denied its motion for a preliminary injunction.
