United Airlines Pilots Sue Union

Law360, New York (October 27, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Deviating from most litigation related to airline workers’ pensions, three pilots for United Airlines Inc. have sued their union, alleging it failed to give them the pension benefits they were entitled to under United’s now-terminated pension plan.

The lawsuit, filed on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon, alleges that the Air Line Pilots Association International did not distribute any of the $545.5 million payout it received from United last year to the three pilots.
