States Seek Seroquel Information From AstraZeneca

Law360 (October 27, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Drug maker AstraZeneca PLC has been subpoenaed by the top lawyers for two U.S. states, each seeking information for separate investigations over drug safety and marketing practices.

In September, AstraZeneca received a subpoena from California Attorney General Bill Lockyer seeking information about the marketing and sale of the antipsychotic Seroquel in the state, as well as its status on the state’s formulary.

The formulary is likely a reference to state’s program covering prescription drugs.
