Qwest Retirees Gear Up To Fight New Benefits Plan

Law360 (October 27, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A decision by Qwest Communications to cap health care and life insurance benefits for its retirees may land the telecom company in court. Furious with the company’s proposed limits, a Denver lawyer has begun gathering information and plans to file a lawsuit.

Attorney Chris Kennedy, who represents Qwest’s retirees, said Friday he hopes to take the company to court to fight the changes to its benefits program.
