Insurance Exchange Investigators Win OT Judgment

Law360, New York (October 1, 2009, 6:44 PM EDT) -- Twenty investigators who brought a putative overtime class action against California-based Farmers Insurance Exchange are not exempt from the overtime requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act and California state law, a federal judge has ruled.

Tuesday's ruling, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, granted summary judgment on first named plaintiff Michael Fenton and other plaintiffs' claims for liquidated damages.
