EEOC Hits CTI Global With Pregnancy Bias Suit

Law360, New York (October 2, 2009, 6:48 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has slapped CTI Global Solutions Inc. with a suit alleging the staffing agency pulled three women off assignments with the Federal Bureau of Investigation after learning they were pregnant.

The EEOC filed a complaint Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland accusing CTI Global of violating Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, as amended by the Pregnancy Discrimination Act of 1978, for allegedly firing the three women because of their pregnancies.
