High Court Seeks SG's Advice On Gas Taxation Case

Law360, New York (October 5, 2009, 7:02 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday invited the solicitor general to weigh in on a case that involves whether an Oklahoma county can tax natural gas that passes through the area temporarily but never gets sold to the residents there.

The Supreme Court of Oklahoma ruled last October that the Woods County, Okla., assessor could tax Missouri Gas Energy in such a circumstance.
