DC Circ. Rejects Starnet Execs' Bid For Rehearing

Law360, New York (October 6, 2009, 1:02 PM EDT) -- Two former executives of Starnet Communications International Inc. have failed in a second attempt to overturn a disgorgement order by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, which accused them of a scheme to sell unregistered stock in the Canadian gaming company.

A 10-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit issued an order Monday denying a petition by ex-Starnet officers John Carley and Christopher Zacharias for an en banc rehearing of their appeal challenging the SEC's order.
