Bankrupt Dura Automotive Looks To Kirkland & Ellis

Law360, New York (October 30, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Continued financial woes in the auto parts industry led to yet another lucrative assignment for Kirkland & Ellis LLP on Monday, with newly bankrupt Dura Automotive Systems Inc. seeking court approval to hire the law firm at upwards of $950 per hour.

The Chicago-based firm has been busy in the embattled industry, where Dura joins other bankrupt auto parts manufacturers currently assisted by Kirkland & Ellis, including Tower Automotive Inc. and J.L. French Automotive Castings Inc.
