Owens Corning's Odyssey Through Chapter 11 Ends

Law360, New York (October 31, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- More than six years after being driven into Chapter 11 by asbestos liabilities, insulation maker Owens Corning emerged from bankruptcy Tuesday.

The Toledo, Ohio-based company had its Chapter 11 plan approved last month, and has been waiting out a 30-day window for appeals.

Owens Corning spokesman Jason Saragian said that Wednesday, Owens Corning shares will be traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker OC.
