Madoff Judge Postpones Ruling On LA Investor

Law360, New York (October 6, 2009, 7:26 PM EDT) -- The bankruptcy judge overseeing the Bernard Madoff clawback actions has agreed to postpone a ruling on an injunction sought against a Los Angeles money manager and philanthropist by the trustee charged with recovering assets from the now-infamous $56 billion swindle.

On Tuesday U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Burton Lifland delayed a decision on the action involving Stanley Chais, agreeing to wait until Oct. 22 to issue a ruling on the preliminary injunction request following a conference with both parties, according to Bloomberg.
