Trustee Joins Calls For Lyondell Chapter 11 Examiner

Law360, New York (October 7, 2009, 3:29 PM EDT) -- The U.S. trustee in Lyondell Chemical Co.'s bankruptcy proceedings has backed up the official committee of unsecured creditors in its call to appoint an examiner in the Chapter 11 cases.

U.S. Trustee Diana Adams on Tuesday filed a response in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, saying that because it appears that Lyondell's unsecured debts exceed $5 million, an examiner is mandatory.
