Microsoft's Browser Changes Get Early Nod From EU

Law360, New York (October 7, 2009, 3:55 PM EDT) -- Competition concerns raised by European antitrust authorities over Microsoft Corp.'s bundling of its Internet Explorer Web browser with its Windows operating system are headed toward a resolution, the top antitrust regulator for the European Union said Wednesday.

At a press conference in Brussels, EU Competition Commissioner Neelie Kroes said she had “good grounds” to believe that serious competition issues in the computer software industry are moving toward a satisfactory resolution.
