French Sorbitol Imports To Get Full ITC Review

Law360, New York (October 7, 2009, 2:28 PM EDT) -- In a split decision, the U.S. International Trade Commission voted to conduct a full review of anti-dumping duties levied on sorbitol imported from France, paving the way for a broad investigation into whether the charges should stand for another five years.

The investigation, part of the commission's “sunset” review process, will decide whether revoking duties on shipments of crystalline sorbitol could harm the domestic industry in the foreseeable future, the ITC announced on Tuesday.
